Like Children.

This morning Billy and I took out the Christmas decorations and started putting them around the apartment. Billy had been talking about getting a train set to put under the tree and couldn’t believe we already had one. Yep, we’ve had one for years, I’ve just been too lazy to experiment and try to get it working. I had been convinced it’d be too difficult.

Well, Billy undertook the effort and for the past two hours we have been watching this little train go around and around and around its little circular track as though we were both six years old again.

Sometimes, I think we are terribly lucky that we are such simpleminded folk.

I love your train and snowy setting — how wonderfully festive!

A bit jealous — I have wanted a train set for a long time but haven’t been able to justify the cost… probably because what I really want is the family Christmas house with full dining room sized train set and village scene with complementary racing car set…. 🙂

Perhaps I’ll get one sorted out in 2008 so that I’ve got one for next Christmas. Surely if I just buy one bit at a time it won’t cost a fortune??
