Happy New Year.

It feels good to wake up in a new year with all new possibilities and a (somewhat) clean slate. Of course the key is whether or not I seize the moments that are offered me, and I’m willing to give it the good old college try.

Today the plan is to watch college football and design wedding invitations, and if the rain and snow hold off, go out for a short two-mile run. It’ll be difficult peeling myself from the couch and my reindeer pants, but the benefit is that, well, I get to run.

It’s been a quiet morning and I’m looking forward to a simple, calm, and easy-going afternoon to start the new year off right.

Welcome to 2008. May it be the start of all good things.
